Upgrading Tire Width on Stock Wheels

Hey everyone,

I bought a 2018 Kia Stinger GT2 earlier last year and was considering to upgrade my tire width, but keep the OEM wheels.

Is it possible to go 20mm wider on the front and rears? If not, how far can I go with the tires?

As you can see, the 255 wide on the 8.5 OE wheel is the recommended maximum; and of course the manual recommends sticking with the OE tire and wheel combos (others on here have other opinions).
