If you had to choose between the aftermarket Stillen BOV's or an aftermarket Intercooler which would you buy, and which would add the most performance benefit?

Thanks,
Chad

first post here huh? Welcome! The stock valves are fine for 99% of people unless you want that extra noise. an intercooler would offer more performance gain. what other mods do you have?

i ordered the Racechip and aftermarket HSK spark plugs plus Stillen cold air intake. But I had to have the intake shipped to OR because they won’t sell it to me here in CA.

That’s what I figured. I do want that sound but seems like a waste of $600 that offered no performance benefit. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Appreciate your help!!

In regards to intercoolers which brand would you recommend? Jonny Tig would take to long what would your second choice be?

meh on the racechip...jb4 is probably the better chip. HKS is the right plugs tho, good choice I got them also. Have fun with the install, there is a thread here with tips. Stillen is alright, the boxes kind of make up for not pointing towards the inlets. I got the Jhonny tigs, no problem to ship to me in Sac.

How long did it take for them to be shipped to you? I’m an impatient person. Lol

the JTs have a giant wait time. the mish kit is a solid choice.

too long. enough time for me to take apart my car and put it back together. Not kidding. They do look great though

You jumped right into it. :D Welcome to the forum.

Talk about your car a little bit. Pics are nice.

You'll be surprised how much sound the intakes will give you. If you want the pshhh on throttle letoff you'll actually get plenty of it just from installing the intakes. Definitely dont waste the money on BOV's, intercooler all the way if you're trying to decide between those two options.

I’d get JB4 first before those.

 Send the race chip back and go with the JB4. There I just saved you a major headache.

Definitely, go JB4 route...

I did. Just got my HKS plugs In today. StillIn cold air intake comes in on Friday. Guess I’ll be busy this weekend. Question, I ordered the PNP fuel wire adapter but so I still have to tap into the red wire from the JB4 into that harness?

Just solder and heatshrink the JB4 wiring to the PNP harness, once and done.

Unless they've made significant changes since their original release the Stillen intakes are a pain to install. Give yourself plenty of time and make sure you're nice and relaxed before you start messing with them. You'll probably be angry/annoyed within 90 minutes of popping your hood.
