Up shift issue

hi, today I experienced an issue with the transmission that happened once before, when accelerating on the autobahn from lower speed. The car was in D an in sport mode and did not up shift in higher gear. It did hold lower gear as long as revs were at 6 thousand and after lowering revs it finally shifted. Does anyone know this problem or has a good advice? Thx

Which motor do you have? Also, do you have the drive-by-wire transmission, or the standard one?
