• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Does anyone get a audible beep/chirp when locking/unlocking the Stinger?
Mine just flashes the blinkers.

Yes. One "beep". (Oh, your question was an Aussie thing. Oh well, let it stand.)

Mine too. There is no beep. Maybe, there is a setting in engineering mode to switch it on, but I have not seen anyone find it.

NO BEEP on mine either, It always confuses me if I have been in the Wife's car (she drives a Range Rover Evoque) - Her's BEEPS... (the CAR that is... LOL)

Kia must have disabled the lock beep for Australia because the piezo speaker does a continues beep during certain situations.

Engineering Mode is just for the infotainment system.

I want to disable that bloody annoying door open chime.

From reading the service manuals, I suspect the beeping would be controlled via the Body Control Module. I believe the BCM's these days are configurable via an OBD-II style J2534 laptop link with suitable OEM programming software.

No chirps here either , not really fazed though.

I'm pretty sure mine beeps when I lock/unlock, but I'm going to have to double check now :)

edit; nope, I must have been thinking of the beep from the boot as I walk past...

Mine does the beep it also does a little welcome jingle. I turned it on to hear what it sounded like.

I do have OEM remote start. Mine does not beep when I lock it, if it was unlocked. It does beep if it is locked when I lock it. I just assumed the English translation was, "You already locked it, Dumbo!"
