Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking, which is why I just went with the fuse pull. Figured it would retain everything but hopefully "restart" whatever needed to be restarted by a complete cut of power. Did the trick...this time.My understanding is it factory resets the infotainment and other settings. That is, to the same settings when you got the car.
This is something which should be done when selling/trading the car. Wouldn't want the new owner to know which places you used the nav to visit. This is like a factory reset on your phone (the system is android based after all).
