Turbo cuts out

Hi all. I purchased a new 2019 Stinger GT2 last year. Since then I've added the JB4 (with fuel wires, running map 2), changed to Denso plugs and upgraded to the dual cone intake. I also added the Zero Maintenance OCC. The car runs like a beast.

Now that it's summer and I'm running the A/C, the turbo has cut out on me twice. The first time I didn't notice when it stopped working but could definitely tell when accelerating there was no boost. The second time was when passing a truck, the turbo quit during the pass. Once this happens, the boost gauge shows 0 boost during acceleration. After I shut off the engine for a little while, the turbos are back up and running. I'm not sure if this is related to the A/C or whether it is engine temp related.

I've searched these forums and the web but could not find anything related to this issue. I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

Sounds like an over boost code, post up a log and lets see how it's working. Make sure it's on the latest firmware too!

Thanks Terry. I was kind of expecting that I would need to provide a log. Since I installed the JB4, the android app (Android 10) will hang if I do any hard acceleration. So logging is very limited. If you have any suggestions for the app, I'm open. Or if there is another way to grab a log, I'd be happy to try anything.

Hmm that could indicate an issue also. Email in your address and lets send you a 2580 chip to pop on and see if that resolves your logging issue.

Wow, thanks! I've sent an email to, which I hope is, your BurgerTuning address. Firmware on the app shows 21/14//5. Hopefully this is the latest.

Just updated to 21/15//5. I'll take her out for a spin later today. Thanks.

Received the new chip, installed and voila, bluetooth/logging issues have been resolved. I took the car our for a short test drive, ran great. The turbo did not cut out but it's 70 degrees here so if it's temp related, it wouldn't happen today.

I've attached my first log. If you could take a look at it and let me know if all looks good. Apparently, the JB4 firmware is stored on this chip because the version was at 16 rather than 17 that was loaded over the weekend.

Thanks for the great support!!!

I’m having the same issue with a 2019 K900. Did the firmware update fix your issue?

Two years later...I would think the answer is yes. Plus, his post confirmed this.

Thanks for the resurrection of a post!

I hadn’t seen he confirmed it In the post. Hope it did fix it. Fingers crossed. I’ve had the issue for like a year and am just starting to address it.
