I am interested in tuning my Stinger, but I only have 91 octane available in my state. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out which tune might get me the best results given the limitations on octane. Does anyone who has dealt with the octane limitation have any suggestions or advice?

Lozic offers tunes for all octane ratings. I currently have one on the way for 91 octane.

If you go JB4 you’ll be limited to map1 with 91 octane which is an increase but not huge. However you likely have access to an octane boost like Boostane which will solve the map1 limitations. If you have E85 in your area even better.

JB4 map2 is workable for 91 octane. That's what I usually run. If you have E85 access though, that is the best solution to big power on 91.

I do have a couple of gas stations around town that have E85 available. I understand you add 4 gallons or so of E85 and fill up the rest with 91 octane and you should be able to run map2 no problem? Sorry, I am kind of a newb to the tuning side of the car. Is there any long term wear to mixing the fuels?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'd go 5-6 gallons E85 rest 91. Then yes map2 no problem, likely also map3 no problem.

Just got my JB4 in the mail today. I have the HKS M45iL's gapped at 0.022 going in next week. If I were to able to get the the JB4 installed this weekend, it seems like from what I have read, I can probably try Map1 on the stock plugs and the 91 octane? Also, I have drop in AEM filters and Velossa Tech snorkels currently installed. Is this enough for air intake, or should is a CAI with the VT snorkels a better option?
