2.0T Tuning Noob

I'm a complete noob to car stuff but buying the Stinger has me intrigued about what kind of mods I can do aside from aesthetic ones.

I'm looking at the install instructions for the JB4 and I can't seem to find the first connection required on the 2.0T. I haven't taken off the engine cover yet so is it possible both connections are under there? Based on the instructions and the video I watched, it seems like one of them is not supposed to be under there but I could be wrong.

The 2L install is basically the same, 2 connections, OBDII, and the optional fuel control wire.
