Hi, all … just in the last couple of weeks, when I open the trunk (power lift gate) using the handle, it opens but then closes again almost immediately. This has happened twice in the last approx. 10 uses, and both times I’ve been leaning in to the trunk to get something and had to scramble out of the way so it didn’t close on me. I re-opened it each time and it stayed open.
Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it wouldn’t close on me, but would sense an obstruction (ME!!) and re-open but it’s my knee-jerk reaction to get out of the way, rather than find out! I searched the forum but didn’t see any other mention of this issue … I will have to get the recall done at some point and will mention this issue then, but intermittent problems are sometimes hard to diagnose, so if anyone else has experienced this and had it fixed, some guidance or clues to pass on to my friendly, local Kia service department would be appreciated!
