I have a question about the 2nd trip computer. There seems to be only one adjustment for resetting it or them. I have the setting at do not reset. I use the 1st trip information to check each tank's gas mileage and do not use the second. I have noticed the second trip seems to be resetting after each time I start and turn off the engine? I would like for both trip information settings to not reset unless I reset manually. Any idea's?

That is intresting! I never had a car that would do that. I will try tuesday unless some other people can try!

Check the manual, it might be based on a trip from when the engine is on to off. Not sure how they programmed it but the manual should explain how it works.

My car's trip or drive screen resets or does not reset at its own whim. No selection of mine (reset after ignition; reset after refueling; off) seems to make the slightest difference. This may be a common glitch, since you are noticing it too. :P The Accumulated Data screen will not reset itself (thank heaven). On my last road trip I used the trip or drive screen to keep track of each stage between gas stops: I reset it manually (along with the average mileage; because it doesn't always reset when the trip or drive screen is reset) each time I gassed up.

I have noticed the same thing. The 2nd trip appears to reset based on your "current trip". It doesn't reset every time i start / stop the car but usually the next day from what i have noticed.

That doesn't exactly enlighten. It says nothing about the three settings, ignition, refueling or off: none of which makes any consistent difference or change that I can see.

So this is what the manual states

OK, now I understand this information from the manual after checking it out on YouTube. The adjustments for resetting the trip computer is only for the first screen. The second screen adjusts as shown in this response. The Stinger trip computer does not work like my previous cars. Makes me feel better now that I know it is working as designed.

Yeah, it's a bit confusing. There's one standard 'trip computer' that doesn't reset itself automatically, and one 'drive info' screen that resets itself after 4 hours of not driving, or after refueling.

The drive info reset is kinda nice, lets me see my mileage on commute, but I wish it had 2 manually resettable trip computers. I'd like to keep the trip computer tracking lifetime mileage and still have one for tracking actual trips.

As for the settings that Merlin mentioned, I believe those are for the mileage screen and not the drive info screen. You can configure the mileage screen to automatically reset after the car being turned off, after being refueled, or never.

I see. Average MPG and not "Drive Info", is the screen that you can opt three ways. And the Drive Info is on default reset after four hours of not driving. Do I have that right?
