I need to take a slider screen door up the road to our hardware store for a screen replacement. Any suggestions about how to secure the hatch maybe a third of the way open? I searched the forum and there are not many comments on this. TIA for your help.

Does the 2018 GT2 have a powered hatch? If so, you can go into the settings menu (Setup/Door) and set it to open to 3-4 different heights. Or you can set it via the hatch button -- I believe you hold it until it beeps, then move it to the height you want.

If you don't have the powered one, you can use the latch mechanism itself by closing it around a bungee or string (just remember to pop it open again before you fully close the hatch):

Yes it's powered. Thanks for the help. I'm tired of our screen door not being fixed! Damn dog (Rottweiler) ran through it. I'll need some of those bird strike stickers too! He even runs into the glass slider when it's shut!

You have a blind Rottweiler? By the way, I'd fix the screen door at home, rather than drive with my hatch unlatched.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Believe you can tap the hatch button to stop it before it hits on the way down. I brought a long piece of hand rail home a couple of years ago this way. (short 2-3 mile trip)

No, he's just a typical derp Rottie.

I finally figured it out. There was no menu setting for the smart hatch. I opened it all the way, put the door in and lowered the hatch. When it got to the position I wanted it at, I pushed the button again and it stopped. If I was going further than a mile down the road I would have tied it down so it didn't wiggle.
