Similar to this post, I made a long boring video, this time in the snow, showing the transfer case overlay while spinning wheels in the snow.

I don't expect anyone to watch the whole thing, just sharing cause I found it interesting. (I should probably make a shorter highlights reel).

I do have NEW Chinesium winter tires, but even great traction is no match for these snowy conditions.

Pure Chinesium rubbers (at least they are round)

What's wild is that those transfer case torque values of say 5-600 lbs-ft (after the ~3.6:1 multiplication of 1st gear) are still before the ~3.5x multiplier in the rear end gear, so the wheels are seeing 1500-2000 lbs-ft (and if we round tire diameter from 26" to 24", or a 1 foot radius, that's the force against the icy road).

If you floored it up to say 4-500 lbs-ft of engine torque (depending on tune), that's 5-6000 at the wheels. I think Tesla claimed 10,000 lbs-ft at the wheels of the Cybertruck for the same reason, and an F250 Powerstroke could be more like 20-30k depending on its low end and final drive.

In other news, I bet Michael Bay would love Canada since every light comes with lens flares installed:
