Hi, all!
I have a 13 Golf R with about 12k miles on it (I don't drive a lot and have a few cars/bikes to take). I've always been a huge VAG fan and love the Golf R. It's basically stock and recently I got an offer on Carvana for it for a very good price (over 27k!)
I was looking for a Genesis to replace it... looking for sporty comfort. Then I found the Stinger. Except for the fake hood vents this is a very nice looking and performing car from all the research I've done.
I found a 2021 GT2 (too bad it's not a facelift) in a nearby town for 47k. I also found a 2018 used locally for 40k (which is high, even according to KBB... and it's at a Kia dealer). Local dealer also has a new 2020 GT but it's this dark metallic blue that I'm not sure I like (I'm shooting for white). I asked my local dealer if they did swaps and could get me a car from another dealer and they started giving me the runnaround about needing to come in, sign papers, etc... that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Well, enough of that... just curious if there are any Golf R owners who are happy they made the swap to a Stinger? If so, why? Road noise, comfort, etc...
PS.. I am bordering on 6'3" (250, muscular build) and 50 years old and I've read some say it's perfect and others say they're uncomfortable. I do plan on stopping by to see on in a day or two and take it for a drive.
The main thing I'm looking for is a much more comfortable ride... the Golf R isn't terrible... or maybe I should hold out for a Genesis G80 or up?
