2018 lease incentives are insane right now... I was able to trade in my 5k mile GT1 RWD for a GT2 AWD and actually paid less for the new car.

7k difference on the MSRP and a better deal. I'll take it. Now I have to go take a bunch of little crap of the old car tomorrow before it hits their lot.

Thats great , You'll love AWD !!

I was digging the ventilated seats, lane keep and the heads up display also.

Had to teach myself how to put it in park though.

If you don’t mind me asking what was the buy out amount? Did you put any money down? Just a swap?
I have a GT1 5k won’t mind changing to a GT2 for the right price.

Adjusted cap is 40199... My trade had 700 in equity. Didn't require anything down though i did a little. This is on a 52300 vehicle with another 1900 in add ons.

Your post got me looking at the Kia website (Canada) to see what kind of incentives we have up here. Nothing notable on lease, and free winter tires? Woo! Guess I'll carry on...

Thanks man. I’m going to ask let’s see.

Was this before or after the paint job? If after how did the fix look?

Paint was just fine. They didn't do much but spot paint and touch up. I called Kia and asked them to come up with something to resolve the claim.

Me too! I still find myself trying to shift into "Park", only to put it into reverse.
Jokes on you! You don't ever have to put it in park, just shut the car off in D with a GT2. It automatically goes into park and pulls the e-brake for you

I knew I could do that, but did not know it would auto apply the e-brake too. I will have to go try it on my next drive. Thanks!

Tried it this morning, and I am sorry to report it does not auto-apply the e-brake unless I am missing something. :(

Mine auto applies it at random intervals. Not exactly sure what conditions have to be met but where i live, our highest "mountain" is a man-made hill inside of a park on campus.

I think mine auto applies the parking brake if auto hold is enabled when the car is shut off.

That might be it, as I always turn auto hold on. Also, make sure your foot is all the way down on the brake when you shut the car off (and maybe keep it down for 1-2 more seconds)
