Nice!
But "It’s also got a brilliant parking camera system. Little cams in the mirrors give you a nifty view of the actual wheels, and the cameras have an easy and quick control interface." Really? Mine's an old build so I don't even have surround view, but do we have this wheel camera feature yet in the U.S., and I just haven't been paying attention?
That is the one thing I miss from my Optima SXL.2019 has surround view camera.
Yes, of course, but that's not what he's describing, is it? I've driven a Cadenza with surround view, and saw only the bird's eye view of the car, not a shot of the "actual wheels," as the reviewer describes.2019 has surround view camera.

Thank you for the clarification. No one ever demonstrated that to me when I was doing test drives in other models. (Bad salesmanship?) Can you tell I'm still feeling the sting (pun intended) of the U.S. being cheated of surround view on the 2018s? Now it's worse. There are on-screen buttons to swap out the birds-eye view in the split screen, and select specific views such as the rear wheels (in reverse) and front wheels (when in drive).
Very, very useful for preventing curb rash while parking, as you can visually maneuver the wheels within centimeters of the curb.

Not sure which setting you're using, Legendsk - but IIRC, if you leave it in the MIDDLE, then you get auto-fold-down for reverse, AND fold when locking.. That's what I always leave it on until I accidentally bump it, and then I have to remember which switch to set to what setting![]()
Yes, I use this feature of the mirrors, but find it's limited, not as good as the view SteveCo posted. Not exactly. The mirrors will automatically tilt down to look at the rear tires when you shift to reverse. But there is a trick to it. The mirror adjust switch needs to be in either the left or right position. The unfold-auto-fold switch can be in any position. Normally I avoid parking places so tight that I would want to fold the mirrors before parking. I much prefer being the only car in a whole line of parking places to minimize door dings. So I just leave the switch in the driver's side position.
it's actually middle for the auto folding and middle with the side mirror selector (for adjustment) that gets you the reverse turn down. Not sure which setting you're using, Legendsk - but IIRC, if you leave it in the MIDDLE, then you get auto-fold-down for reverse, AND fold when locking.. May your luck continue unabated. But, fingers crossed, knock on wood, no door dings in 20 months of ownership.
Not true. To get your side mirrors to turn down in reverse, you have to have the mirror adjustment switch in either the L or R position. In the center the mirrors stay up.it's actually middle for the auto folding and middle with the side mirror selector (for adjustment) that gets you the reverse turn down.
I once accidentally left that selector switch on one side and couldn't figure out why they stopped turning down in reverse.
