Alright fellas, i have a rwd gt1. I have purchased some ark 225s wheels in 19x9.5 (25) all around. I was going to get the michellin pilot super sports in 255/40r19 front and 295/30r19 in the rear, the rear i know will fit, but any idea if the fron will give me any issues, especially when turning?

They key here will be the offset, but chances are these will not fit. 9.5 wide on the front is 1.5 inches wider than stock.

Offset is 25, and damn that sucks.

I'm with ya! I'm in close to the sane boat. Your tires and wheels will stick out an extra inch from stock. You may be clear, but have handling issues.

I just ordered a set of 19x9 +40 offsets. The company sys there is a fair chance they won't fit, but we are trying it anyway.
Free returns a long as we test mount the front wheels first to identify clearance before mounting the tires, ec.

I entered your specs on a wheel size comparison site. You may be good to go. I've already been running 245/40/19 all around, but on stock rims. The offset difference will almost exactly cover the ten MM wider tire.

Put them on. Give me hope!!

@jdouga I did more research and was wrong earlier. Your wheels will work on the front
That is very good news, tomorrow ill fifinfifind out exactly how they will feel and look, will post once able to, how r the 245s?

255s in front have been proven to fit, but on 9 inch wide fronts, and offsets matter a lot...Not much room for error at all. I don't know if you can get 9.5 under the front without more camber than you may like. But besides that.. 295 on a 9.5..will that even mount properly? It's gonna be a mess of sidewall and flop. If the idea was to stagger your tires I don't understand why you wouldnt also run them on a staggered wheel setup, especially with as drastic a stagger as that.

I've enjoyed my 245/40/19 set up with no issues, front or rear. With the new wheels, I'll keep the same tires

Would you know what offset would work on front for awd 245 40 19 8.5 wheel. My rear 255 35 19 would not fit at all that is 30 offset. Everyone says 255 35 19 fits with 32 offset which would mean 245 35 offset would work correct?

I overlooked the issue thinking i was going to do a square setup at first, but then changed it up, i will share how it goes, currently in ththe shop

295 on a 9.5 inch rim. I think it looks just fine.

255/35/19 +25 on the fronts are FINE, no problem there they will fit with out issue. Your rears on the other hand at 295, they will stick out past your fender by quite a bit when looking down from the top.

Which offset rear are you talking about? I have 295s and they don't stick out at all, since I have a pretty mild offset (+47 on 10" wheels)

Edit: Nevermind, I'm stupid. OP's offset numbers will look ridiculous in the rear

The thread creator mentioned he has 19x9.5 +25 all around. I was referring to these which is the same thing I have.

Alright so the front had no issues, the rears also cleared although very wide, buy i an loving it. Only issue is the rear ones do rub a bit when i hit bumps, i dont have people in ththe back seats very often so im okay with it. Overall very pleased, the Michelin super sports are awesome thus far20190401_220902.webp 20190401_220828.webp 20190401_220757.webp 20190401_220828.webp

I thought they'd stick out farther. Looks pretty good.

Exactly as I said, the rears are sticking out QUITE A BIT probably 1/2 inch or 3/4 of an inch. You will have issues if you try and lower it a lot as those won't clear the fender with out rolling it maybe.
