This damn car - I drive it too much!!! I mean, I really getting behind the wheel and driving it. I've had my car about for months and I have over 10,000 miles on it already! Damn you KIA, you didn't tell me that these cars accumulate mileage so quickly - definitely intentionally designed that way, so we have to buy a new car more often! Maybe instead of driving it like I do, I will just sit behind the wheel with the engine off and go "vroom-vroom." Or maybe I'll go "whoosh-woosh", since I added the K&N CAI :).

Get two, and only have half the miles.

hahahahahaha. or, you should move to the city, that way you are always stuck in traffic, no mileage accrued!!!!

Over 10K miles in four months? Holy crap! Do you live in this thing? But I agree: it is fun to drive, and the miles pile on. I'm on my second road trip since purchase at the end of March. And I'm getting close to 6K miles already. Glad I purchased the lease, so I don't have to worry about going over my mileage allotment.

I just love driving this thing. My daily commute is about 30 miles round trip, so that can't be it. It's those long ("GT") round trips that is doing me in. I learned a long time ago that leases are not for me. I am also glad I bought out the lease.

You can buy out the lease at the end of the lease without a mileage issue. I have leased over 25 cars, never payed excessive mileage charges regardless of the miles. Most of the time I trade cars before lease end, the dealer buys the car to sell or lease you the next one. Granted, the value of the trade is determined, in some cases by the miles, but it would be the same regardless if it was leased or financed.

The money factor on a KIA lease is around 5% per annum. Twice what you can get from a credit union; too high for me.
That's why the rebate on the lease was much higher than the finance. My dealer finance guy told me it was more like 6.?% Did you do the lease/purchase exercise?

Of course. No reason to stay in the lease if financing is half the cost :)

With the KIA/Hyundai standard lease, its basically simple interest accrued for the period the car was under lease. Rent = MF. In depth discussions about it on here.
