I was and am waiting for the 2019 GT1 to be available while musing over the possibility of getting ag70 instead. Then I go on car gurus and notice a unicorn. 2018 GT2 MSRP $50,100 for $41,000. Too good to pass up?

Got a link? I'm guessing this si with dealer discount and KIA cash applied. If so then you'll need to add taxes and fees (plus finance) and come up to the total cost. It does looks like a good price though.

I would reach out to find out about it or go check it out for yourself to see if you want it.

Its a alright price, not great, if lease cash is applied, which is 6,900. So dealer discount is just 2,200 less than 5%. You should be able to get at least 10% now, given its end of the model year.

Dealers aren't advertising lease prices, that price is most likely comprised of dealer discount (figure10+% here, $5K+) and KIA Conquest or Loyalty cash (which is $3k). You really have to look at how the come to that price on the listing, they will most likely have a disclaimer stating "Not all customers will qualify".

Site won't let me post a link. But it doesn't say anything about discounts applied or lease price only, so I think its just a 'please someone buy this car'. According to the listing its been on the lot for 187 days.

nvm, found a little question mark on the dealers site that lays it all down. 2k dealer discount, 3k loyalty, 3k something else, 400 military.

Only you can say whether the reason(s) you are waiting for the 2019 are worth the extra $$.

Personally, my only remaining reason is the 360º camera, and that's it. I *was* also hung up on getting micro blue with red NAPA, but I've changed my mind.

The camera, for me, is non-negotiable, for reasons I've discussed elsewhere.

Some dealers do factor in lease incentives and mention special lease price, mostly just factor in incentives.

Check if you qualify for "something else" discount with lease rebate then it might be worth it.

I decided to wait for MY 2019. Just for small issues will be worked out and 360º cameras. The dealers discount won't be this good but will be alright (not as bad as initial MY 2018). The lease incentives I assume would stay as it Kia offers them on all other cars around the year.

I picked up a 2018 GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver/Red Leather this week.

I was $40,800 OTD including tax. I had a trade (only $700 equity after lein payoff), so my taxes were $1,176.

I'm in Texas, so did Kia's balloon loan. By doing so, I was able to take advantage of the $7,700 lease incentive, $1,000 AWD incentive and the reast was dealer discount.

I figure the incentives won't be as aggressive on 2019's as there is plenty of 2018 inventory that they need to move.

After I make 4 payments to Kia, I will refiniance with my local redit union. (The dealer is made whole by Kia after the 4th payment and I want to make sure they don't get screwed in the process). In Texas, you can't buyout a lease without paying sales tax all over again, so the balloon loan is a little known option. Another dealer told me about it and when I mentioned it to the dealer I purchased from, they had no idea it existed. A quick call to their Kia Motor Finance rep confirmed it was a legitimate program.

This is an amazing machine and am loving it!
