Tire Blowout

Pulled into my driveway today and the tire pressure alert notified me of rapidly decreasing pressure on my front right tire. I got out, and sure enough the side of the tire had blown out! I'm thankful I was home instead of on the highway.

I have just over 600 miles on the car, haven't driven hard, certainly haven't hit anything, and am frustrated that it went out on me.

Of course I denied the tire/wheel coverage at the dealer when I bought it so I am on the hook for a new tire already. Ugh.

Agree with @BluGT2, if you are on the stock summers in a cold climate it could be the tire compound at fault.

Exactly and cracking due to driving in cold weather on summer tires isn’t cover by Michelin.

I have an open case with Kia regarding summer tires and I’ve talked to Michelin about it.

200 km of test drives in the middle of winter were done on the summer tires prior to me purchasing it

I have had some bad experiences with faulty Michelins in the past and terrible customer service from them , I vote with my wallet and refused to buy the Pilot Sport AS to replace the Summers , very very happy with my BFG's

I just want to know why it went flat. Bead leak, nail, sidewall rip????????
