Hi all,

Looking for tire recommendations for stock 18" wheels?

Current tire full specs as I can see are: 225/45ZR18 95Y (on all 4 corners)
Michelin pilot sport all season 4 (out of stock at my local tire shop)

Are any of the below viable?

looks like the Continental extreme contact DWS06 plus would be a good alternative but come with a different load rating in the same size: 225/45ZR18 91Y

They make: 235/45ZR18XL 98Y which would have a sufficient load rating but would be 1.2% larger so throw off speedo?

Or: 255/40ZR18XL 99Y, sufficient load rating, and same final diameter but pushing the width from what I understand.

yes, 255 on 8" rim is pushing it. you would likely experience sidewall flex under hard cornering which would roll the outside edges under some, in other words if you like to corner hard you'll wear the tire's outside edge off first. you could experience oversteer as well since you put wider tread on the front. of course wider in the back at the same time might neutralize steering. 245 looks like upper limit for recommended on 8" rim.

Thanks for the input that's what I thought +/- 20 width seems to be the rule of thumb from what I'm reading other places

Seems like the 235 45 would be best all around. 1 full mph speedo difference at 83 mph

245/40/18 works well. Running said size in PS AS4 right now.

I've run two different 235/45R18 A/S tires on the stock 18x8. Both work well. I currently have a set of Potenza Sport 245/40x18 on the stock 18x8, used as back up and/or raining day track tires. Tears up road courses and AutoXs just fine.

I would not go 255. They will fit & run street okay but won't be supported properly on the 8" rim for optimum handling.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'd go 245/40/18
