Anyone have an idea on labor hours for installing downpipes and midpipes on an AWD? Its the catted set from Ultimate.

Downpipes 30 minutes because of looking for bolts and aligning. Use an impact wrench for ultrafast uninstall/install

You are talking about mid pipes. Turbo back downpipes will be 3-4 hours assuming everything comes apart

^Yup, midpipes are easy peezy. To make lining up the pipes easiest when installing, loosely bolt up the tranny-to-pipe brackets first, then it's even easier to line up the front and back portion of the pipe and bolt it all down.

Primary downpipes are tight and tedious to reach, but can be done with some extensions and a really good U-Joint (personally I think the impact u-joints are best, they don't bend/flex too much). The AWD is harder than RWD because you've got more hardware in the way (ie axles, front diff), but it's still doable.

The most important thing is to spray each of the 4 nuts liberally with PB Blaster or something similar in the days leading up to removing them, or you risk ending up like a fool like me. Order new nuts and studs just in case before installing.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Correct - I was mistaken and misinformed with the terminology aftermarket companies are using for their products.

Midpipes are easy but make sure you taken your time in aligning each pipe before tightening as clearance is very limited. Invest in an impact wrench - especially for downpipes.

YouTube vivid visual he has a video of him installing this set. Believe he had to grind the downpipes down a bit to fit? It’s been a while since I saw it

My install cost me $650 for 6 hours of labor to install the set. It was well worth the investment as I've heard like 95% of shops will have no idea what they're doing with our cars since the ones I visited locally quoted me for around 12-13 hours since their only "guide" was to completely replace the cats from Kia's manuals.
