Hey so my car started doing a ticking noise only upon acceleration. it doesn’t do it all the time. Sometimes when the car is warmed up it won’t do it. Also to mention If I’m in park and slowly upping the rpm’s it will not making the noise. 22 Stinger gt2 performance mods as of right now is an oil catch can. But I do have a lap 3 stage 2 ecu tune, it’s just not on the car currently.
I have a Brand New 2023 GT2 AWD Grand Tourer, and from day ONE when I do cold starts, like in the morning or after work, it ticks super loudly for about 20-30 sec until the engine does it's RPM kick down. I've heard it's the HPFP but my 2019 GT2 AWD was not remotely as loud as my new 23 GT2 AWD.
Are other 22/23 Stinger GT2's having the same loud ticking on cold starts??

So it’s not on a cold start. It’s just like it’s only on acceleration. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it stays. My 2020 stinger didn’t do it at all.

It's the High Pressure Fuel Pump (or someone I talked to says the regulator for the HPFP). On cold starts, due to higher fuel pressure required, it makes noise for 20-30 seconds.
They all do that, even the first Stinger models in 2018MY, most GDI engines do it too because of the need for high fuel pressure.
