I was driving down the highway normally when I suddenly had no throttle input or at time sparatic input ( pressing on the gas but staying at idle then jumping to 2k rpm then back to idle) pulled over turned off the car adjusted the after market carpet assuming it slipped under the throttle pedal turned the car back on and drove on for about 20 minutes thinking I fixed it and it happened again tried the previous fix and nothing changed ended up limping it to my parents place as it was only a block away, checked under the hood throttle body connector looked fine no corrosion and was plugged in all the way then I noticed the previous owner installed a oil catch can that had fallen off the mount and was laying sideways against the turbo and was filled with water from what I’ve read that’s normal in cold weather could it have been sucking to water into the intake from the cc or should I be looking elsewhere
Side note I didn’t buy or do any of the modifications to the vehicle and already know the carpets are stupid and should be replaced to ones that don’t slide around
