Hey folks, Drmario86 here. Full time pharmacist, full time dad, part time PC builder, hobbyist mechanic and content creator.

After the untimely demise of my 2013 Acura ILX 6MT we picked up a 2020 Stinger GT1 as the Goldilocks car that can hold a couple car seats, a metric crap load of cargo, and still satisfy my inner gear head. As of this post we're at 1500mi and digging it.

For mechanical background, started learning to tinker on a 1993 CB7 Accord back in high school by upgrading one piece at a time as things eventually broke. It was done with LOTS of help from family, friends, and the lovely folks at CB7Tuner forums
Parts List: AEM Intake, Bisimoto headers, Magnaflow exhaust, KYB AGX shocks, H&R springs, Energy poly bushings, Akebono brakes with SS lines, and a Sony sound system with a Pioneer head unit.

After getting out of school, I tried to be responsible and not upgrade the ILX until things started wearing out but it was murdered at 110kmi so never got the chance. I'm thinking that means I'm obligated to mod the Stinger in memoriam for the last stick shift Acura ever made.

If you're REALLY bored, feel free to check out some of my amateur content on Youtube and Twitch where we play some old people video games and talk tech.
Looking forward to seeing what new shenanigans can be had in the new car and discussing it's exploits here!

Congrats and good luck! I'm 95% retail with a bit of hospital on the side. Job market is really tight in our region. Have you been able to take your Naplex and MPJE yet with the pandemic?

Welcome! Can't wait to see the pictures.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Just stock ceramic grey so pics not likely to tighten any trousers. Do y'all know if the photo block is based on time or post count?
Edit: just saw the boss mention this in another thread. Patience is a challenging virtue for car people o.o7

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! I’m glad you found us. :)

Welcome to the Hive! Lots of great mod info in the forums, from mild to wild so you can scratch that itch

Thanks Nasdcar, RedCal, and Benevolent Overlord Admin! There's not a whole lot of time for forum diving as my pharm is about to become a Covid testing site but I'm a big fan of DIY Guides and product reviews.
Once the modding addiction kicks in, I'll try to do my part and make some useful content out of it. There's not much for racing, legal or otherwise, in our small ish redneck town so likely going with noise makers, cosmetics, and then actual performance if the Money Pit isn't too deep.

Its pushed back til later this summer. I know some taking in October and Novemeber but mines August. Gives me more time to job search, study, and play with the stinger. Still waiting on JT intakes, so that's my next mod.

Great intro! :D
If you fetch pics off your computer, you can click "Upload a file" and share right away. I posted pics on my very first post.

Welcome to the Stinger and the forum.

More of a photo dump than integrated into proper story but it'll do for now! Had trouble finding photos of the old CB7 but it was from an era before smartphones. Back in highschool/college days, the requirement for family funding assistance was keeping a stock exterior. Still bummed about the ILX but hoping in time to fill the gap in my soul with BOOST. If the Stinger was available in stick like the G70, would be a happy dood but the extra rear seat room is crucial for the tiny humans. Adulting is challenging but looking forward to teaching basic maintenance in a few years!DSC_0292_1.webpSigPhoto.webpPC_20150225_122858_PerfectlyClear.webp
