Loved both cars, but need reasons why I should go with Stinger. Please share you favorite part of Stinger ownership. Thanks!

yes, practicality of cargo space, design, performance, reliability, safety, features and price point. and they are rare beasts.

Agree to all...but the service from KIA dealerships are lacking as hell.
Im gonna see if I can take my stinger to the Genesis dealership for service.

Honestly, if you don't need the cargo space I'd go with the Genesis.

couldn't do a Genesis on looks alone ... that chain-link fence grille makes me cringe every time.

otherwise (unlike most Americans), i prefer smaller, better-handling, more nimble, easier to park cars.

the more sensible climate controls are a plus in the G70, too ... but that front end <vomits>

It was the cargo space and back seat room that drove me to the Stinger over the G70. Specked out similarly the price wasn't all that different. If they sold the G70 wagon here, I would have gone for it over the Stinger.

I eyed both, got the Stinger with the 3.3TT for significantly less at the time (2 years ago) than a G70. I think that price gap might be narrowing, assuming dealers aren't marking up the G70.

I wanted the drivetrain. The G70 has a slightly nicer interior IMO. I do like having the hatch, but could also live without it. Very rarely have 'needed' it. And if anything I've spent more time deadening the hatch rattle than it's paid back in practicality.

My Kia service experience has been poor thus far, they're constantly booked weeks/months out. Not sure if that improves much with the Genesis (last oil change appointment booking attempt was 3-4 weeks out), our local Genesis dealer is attached to a Hyundai dealer and service is done through the Hyundai service dept.

Just my $0.02 I'd also go Genesis, however it's a tight race and if you can get a Stinger for less money then I'd just recommend that.

3 more horsepower than gen. plus the stinger all around looks better. its got a great ass.
you should be choosing between the stinger and a gt500 lol

Stinger because it’s bigger and cargo space.

Hey jmwglw

Is the Stinger or G70 going to be a daily? If so, the Stinger is more roomy, with the hatchback being a very functional feature. The g70 backseats are definitely smaller leg room wise. Those are things to keep in mind. I love my Stinger GT1 and i think you'll love it too!

I love the looks of the G70 (especially the facelifted 2022 G70), but having a hatch and slightly more rear legroom was the main deciding factor for me. We never got the wagon G70 but that was only offered with the 2.0t 4 banger, no 3.3t.

I do wonder why Genesis didn't put the 2.5 in the G70 as part of the facelift. it would have made it a much more compelling car, especially if they had brought the wagon.

if you need to use the rear seat, your decision has been made. the stinger rear seat is usable; the G70 one I can't even get my feet in the footwells when a reasonable sized driver is in the front.

When I was looking last spring I drove both. TBH I found the G70 sport more fun and zippy despite having the same engine. However, the complete lack of backseat legroom along with the tiny trunk were dealbreakers. I think the Genesis is more polished (has proprietary lane keep assist which was amazing) and the dealer experience is lightyears beyond Kia, but I needed more of a practical car with kids and cargo. I'm still in love 9 months later despite a few hiccups and crappy Kia service department.

Thanks for this all the other replies. I'm not too concerned with the Kia dealership experience because I have plenty of personal contacts with mechanics and will probably never go to the dealership unless it's a warranty item.

So--the big reveal....

Nice ride. Question, are all Scorpion edition Stinger GTs all wheel drive?

I have the exact same car except black interior. Congrats!!

No - Scorpion editions can be RWD or AWD.

Now that I'm a proud owner of this amazing vehicle, what are the best add-ons from the store that you all recommend?

No, from the info I have been able to gather, looks like it's about 50/50 RWD/AWD. Mine is RWD which is fine as I live in FL and have never seen a need for AWD. I enjoy the way the RWD power gives you that little slide...
