Telluride spied ............

They always compare it to the Hyundai Santa Fe, I was under the impression this will be a Mohave/Borrego replacement to compete with the bigger SUV's.

Looks way to big to be off the SF ................ But in early press releases they did say something about being off of a stretched Sorento platform ??

Me too if it is considered as a large SUV with a proper third row and trunk space.
I believe it will be considered a large SUV. Not quite Escalade-sized, but larger than anything currently in the Hyundai/Kia lineup...

I agree. I hope it'll be on the K900 platform. That seems more appropriate for the Telluride.

The head of Kia product planning stated that they are thinking of doing a K900 based CUV and certain auto pubs (erroneously) took that to mean that the Telluride may be on the K900 platform - it's not.

It's on an extended version of the new Santa Fe platform - which is shared by the Hyundai counterpart, the Palisade.

If and when Kia does a K900-based CUV, won't be til the next gen RWD platform (that will underpin the Genesis GV80 and GV70).

Both the Telluride and Palisade are midsize CUVs.

But the sizes of midsize CUVs vary widely.

Something like the old Santa Fe (the 3-row, which will be renamed the XL until it is replaced by the larger Palisade) and the Highlander are on the smaller side of the midsize CUV spectrum.

Something like the Pathfinder is in the middle and the Traverse is on the large end (don't know why the Traverse is considered a midsize, but apparently it is).

Seems to me that Telluride is somewhere btwn the size of the Pathfinder and the Traverse.
