i want to have a tcu tune done . but im on the fence about changing it , i don't really care about crazy launch control or maxed out line pressure ect , just looking to have the
stock algorithm changed as far as shift points especially in comfort mode , i don't need to be in 8th gear at 35 mph , any input would be great , i would like the tork tcu flash
but i cant get ahold of them as of yet . any input would be great , thanks !

I have the tork tcu tune. It's definitely the most "value" tcu tune. Like I think his stage 1 was like $100 lol. I think the tcu tunes focus more on sport mode. Like no auto upshift in manual mode and faster shifts

Tork stage 1 is very nice. It stays pretty mild - just cleans and tightens up the shifts. It's not dramatic, doesn't slam, doesn't hang in gear, etc. I'd recommend it to anyone on any stock to mild build.

I've had my Lozic tcu in for 3 days now and I love it. I got pressure 2, 5% earlier shifts, no torque limits on launch control, and more aggressive sport mode - he calls it "Like Sport+"

It drove and shifted a little weird for the first few days but has since settled in and it's absolutely perfect for me. Plus Lozic was very friendly and easy to work with.
Also, launching under boost is insane. It's absolutely crazy how much Kia left on the table there. It's easily .5 seconds to 60 faster.

I run the Tork stage 1, hard to beat at $100. Total quality of life tune, the way the car should have been from the factory. I describe it as Eco+, Comfort+ and Sport+.

Is there a big impact on Transmission reliability with the Tork stage 1 tune? It sounds pretty mild.

Does the Tork stage 1 tune also work for the 2.5T GT-Line? Same tranny right?

No, the Tork tune keeps all the factory safeties and whatnot. It just increases line pressure to improve shifting and shifting speed. It also takes the factory limitations off of the launch control. You can launch with 5-7 psi instead of 1ish. Obviously that will wear parts faster, but for normal everyday driving it'll be fine.
