Hello! I just wanted some advice on what to expect now that I have a tech line case opening for my Stinger.

I bought this car about a month and a half ago, and maybe 3-4 weeks into having the car i noticed sometimes it had issues shifting into gear, but if i turned the car on and off, the problem was gone.

I found out that the previous owner never had the ECU recall taken care of so I told them about the shifting issue and the ecu recall, they said they will replace the ecu and try to recreate the issue but they did not want to look at the trans.

I got the car back fast and they told me that they couldn't recreate the issue. I then got the car back and it drove great, until the next day. It then started jerking into gear and sometimes not shifting at all, and it was a dangerous ride.

So, I brought it back and they finally looked at the transmission. I told them I found a code with my computer for Incorrect ratio at gear 5, so they told me they will either open a techline case or they might be able to fix the issue replacing a solenoid valve assembly and a solenoid valve.

so today they finally replaced the solenoid, and i told them to road test it. they called me back and said it still isnt shifting right. so now they are opening up a tech line case to kia to try and fix the issue.

has anyone had an issue like this with their stinger and what should i expect? I told them about this issue weeks ago and it is getting addressed NOW. I have basically not had access to my stinger since August 15th, so it has almost been a month.

Please let me know any advice anyone has how to deal with this issue and similar stories!!! thank you!
