Are there any TCU tunes that adjust shift points? Such as not being able to downshift into 1st until 3k or lower?
Lozic could figure it out, but a 1st gear lockout is an interesting request for sure. why do you want that? Are there any TCU tunes that adjust shift points? Such as not being able to downshift into 1st until 3k or lower?
Ive never noticed that. Which year and model do you have? I could swear I can kick the car into first gear just about anywhere above 1500rpmThat's what it does from the factory, like if you are slowng down it won't let you downshift to 1st until you hit 3k rpm.

alright, SO just to be clear as its early in the morning and I could just be Not thinking straight, you have to be above or below 3K in 2nd to be able to shift into first? Sorry for the excess clarification, I didn't get much sleep last night.22 gt2 awd
Below. Like I'm slowing down and I wanna hear my borla exhaust just having fun and I'm downshifting through the gears.alright, SO just to be clear as its early in the morning and I could just be Not thinking straight, you have to be above or below 3K in 2nd to be able to shift into first? Well if that's the case, then it could be because any lower and you may stall the car. TBH if you wanna hear your exhaust then just put her in neutral and have at it.Below. Like I'm slowing down and I wanna hear my borla exhaust just having fun and I'm downshifting through the gears.
I think there might be some miscommunication. When I slow down and downshift at 3k it blips to like 3500. I want to downshift at like 4500 (picking a random number)Well if that's the case, then it could be because any lower and you may stall the car. I think I get you now. Unfortunately that may not be something you can do while the car is in drive, as each gear is a specific ratio to be used at certain speeds. for example, 4500rpm in first gear would be like 20ish mph, maybe more. If you want a higher RPM at low speed, Neutral is going to be the only option. or go faster when listening to it so you have more gears to play with.I think there might be some miscommunication. That was my original question, is there a tcu tune that changes the shift points.I think I get you now. Alright, sorry about the confusion, I honestly am not running on much brain power today. Technically Yes, However shift point changes have only been adjusted on a percentage basis, down at that, and it would probably adjust all of the shift points to different locations, which could lead to un-intended side effects. That was my original question, is there a tcu tune that changes the shift points.
