Hello.

I need a replacement for 2018 Stinger, GT2, AWD with ECS. It’s a front right suspension strut.
The problem is - the part number itself is no longer available for purchase as it’s discontinued. No replacements are provided. (54660J5570)

The question is - how can I find a replacement for it. Anything that fits. Maybe it’s a newer part number from newer models that dealers won’t disclose? I’ve searched all I can and I couldn’t find anything. Please help guys!
Thanks

A good aftermarket option would be to replace your factory suspension with an after Coilover system such as the Ark DT-P. We will be offering these at a great discount for our Black Friday Sales Event. If you are interested in exploring this option shoot me a message and I would be glad to help you out.

Thanks for this. Where can I get more information or read real world reviews from Stinger owners using this product? How’s the ride compared to stock? I don’t need any lowering stuff, just need a good working suspension, lol. :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
These guys don't show it as discontinued - maybe they have stock.

Thanks, think I already contacted them and it looks like the information on a website was not up to date, it’s discontinued

Check this one out. It says for 2WD but I doubt there is a difference. I wonder if they discontinued the AWD part number? They have to have a part for the AWD owners otherwise there are going to be a lot of pissed off GT Ltd. owners in Canada as all of our cars are AWD with ECS!

It looks like only the passenger side is discontinued. Driver's side is still there. Very strange.

Yes, I already contacted them. It's on backorder from KIA without any ETA.

And I agree completely that it is weird you can not know what's the replacement part number, if this one was discontinued, there must be a successor or maybe as you've said - some previous part that become 'universal'. But it's so hard to get that info, damn. I have hope that RWD (2WD) part fits the AWD.

Also, I think the original part is showing as 'discontinued' after I repeatedly called them asking for it, lol. It was in stock just right before that. There's a high chance that the driver's side strut is discontinued as well, but we'll see. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

If they're already discontinuing simple wear items like oem replacement struts, makes me wonder if the Stinger will see 2021...

Yep. It's crazy it's a simple part like that. Also it's like 4-6 of them in the whole country, lol. They must be pretty solid then for them not to have the replacements easily available. But I got some new interesting data.

The representative finally told me over the phone that the replacement is the strut itself + harness. The parts are
54621J5570 and 56192J5050. That's for my Stinger model, at least, not sure what about others, it may be that some parts for other Stingers are also changing their numbers.

OP, you should contact a dealer and get them to run it down for you. KIA can't just obsolete a part, as there is a legal requirement for them to stock parts for a specified period of time after a car enters production. Manufacturing changes to parts during a car's production run is not uncommon, but normally the replacement part number is easily found.

A dealer will have the contacts to find out what the replacement part number is, and what is the actual situation on availability.

There are some great reviews of the product on the forum and online. The ride quality will vary depending the dampening settings you have. It seems like there are a few different options suggested for you so far. If you just want an OEM replacement and it is available you should definitely get that. However, if you are unable to get an OEM part this would be a good back up plan. The monotube design reacts quickly and is quieter than stock and it sits a little lower but the car definitely won't be slammed.
