Hey guys. I've been making the rounds at all the groups/sites and introducing myself. I just bought a blue GT1 and have been loving it. First oil change TOMORROW! (just under 1k miles in 2 weeks - geez)

I've been in the car scene for 30 years. I've done custom cars, trucks, race cars, and everything in-between. I was an early adopter with the Subaru crowd, early adopter with C5 Camaro, and early adopter with the Cruze Diesel. It took me a couple years, but I finally was in a space to pickup one of these amazing cars.

She's got a couple quirks that are annoying TF out of me. But that list is very short compared to everything else.

Thanks for having me!

Well, if you check my profile, I registered for this forum in March of 2017. I have, obviously, been a fan! Now that I am an owner, it's time to start the research train. I've already updated the front badge, the wheel badges, and done a steering wheel overlay. I like the rear delete, but I feel it should say KIA somewhere on the vehicle.

I don't think I've been as nervous with my other cars. The Stinger is a serious automobile. The only vehicle I've owned that was (arguably) in this category was my C5 Camaro. 420hp, bremo brakes, not much lighter but a very seriously fast car. But that car belonged to my (ex) wife. I definitely feel the Stinger is more comfortable, with more technology and, more important, a better view. I inherited the car 6 years ago in my divorce and was forced to roll all the vehicles into a single car payment with a Chevy Cruze Diesel.

The Diesel was probably the most unique vehicle I owned, having 350lb/ft of torque. She was an effortless highway cruiser, often exceeding 50mpg. That is the only thing I am going to hate about this car. Filling up twice as often, at almost $1/gal more. :D I am prepared!!!

Well, that was supposed to say 50 MPG, but the forum won't let me save edits...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I fixed it. But you SHOULD be able to edit... Not sure why you're not seeing the option. In any event, I'm glad you finally got your Stinger! Wow, 2017, huh? You've been here a long time. :p

I see the edit function, but I get this error when I try to save... (Sorry, can't find out how to PM you this)Capture.webp

You are the longest sleeper! Glad you emerged, and with a brand new Stinger!

Congrats! I'm another (Arizona) holdout who was set on buying a Stinger since I first checked one out in late '17. Just got mine a couple weeks ago and it was worth the wait.

What quirks are bothering you?

In no particular order:
  • Playlist support for mp3 files
  • Single USB port for *either* android auto or a thumb drive
  • Hatch release on fob doesn't pop the trunk.
Mind you, I can fill PAGES and PAGES with things I love about this car. These are just minor issues that, coming from a Chevy, did not exist on my previous vehicles.
