Good morning, Hive!
The title is a bit of clickbait to be sure, but the idea of the thread is to provide a space for family/friend-based stories for Stinger owners/enthusiasts to share :) I for one can say that Stinger ownership has brought our little family closer in many ways! To start....

Our 4 yr old son named our Stinger "Sally" which I have embraced because, well, he's my boy and I appreciate his wanting to be part of the experience. Today on the way to daycare, however, he announced that "sally" is the "clark kent" persona for Sally, and that there is an alter ego for Sport Mode...20180306_070333.webp ...the Iron Giant. :) love that kid and his amazing imagination :D

Or if you are a Queen fan (as I am), Frank the robot from the cover of News of the World album.

Here is a family story just happened-
Mrs ibmaxx is out driving
Mrs ibmaxx is speeding
Mrs ibmaxx gets speed camera ticket
Mr ibmaxx gets fined as he is registered owner and has to pay!

See what a Stinger can do? I just got stung!

So i asked my wife yesterday when i got home if she was ever going to drive the Stinger or at least get into it. We have had it for a week and she has never been in one or up close to one. Her response and i quote, "Well its not like i can enjoy it till you break it in, so hurry up so i can drive it fast"

Yeah i can see speeding tickets and new tires in my future.

totally saw the queen cover. if anything, it has caused the mrs and i to be more physical with each other : 0 lots of kicking and tripping as we both run for the keys. i am 6'3" and she is 5'0". no holds barred. nothing says love as you both sit there with black eyes, missing teeth and a bloody nose telling the neighbors how you love the new car. hahhahahahahahahaahahaha!!!

So I was buying the wife a 2017 Sportage.....which she really likes.....and when I sat in the Stinger in the showroom I kept hearing comments.....”in your dreams”, “yeah right”, “you’ll never get that”. Sales guy heard it also. Fast forward a few days and guess what is in my driveway? Lol.

Welcome. Funny enough, the Mrs wanted a soul! In orange. She wouldn't look at the red or blue stinger,.but the day we went to purchase the soul!, They had just taken delivery of the yellow one. She wanted it. Oh course sweetie, whatever you want. Heh heh heh.
