So, after weeks of back and forth with my local dealer, I finally got a solid quote. Also worth noting is that the dealer advised me that Costco pricing would no longer be accepted on the Stinger due to its classification as a "specialty vehicle." However, they would honor my Costco quote.

Here we go...
Costco Pricing $47,324 ($250 below invoice)
PLUS dealer installed options of the following - mind you they don't actually have the car yet
Tint - $800
One Armor Paint Protection - noted as 3yr coverage - $800
Dfence GPS car alarm - $800
Now, they did apply the Costco 15% to each of these dropping them to $680 apiece.

So with TTL, etc..final OTD price is $54,900.

They are saying the Dfence is a standard install on all Stingers. $800 for tint is also extremely high. And the website lists the paint protect at $200. Hmmm. Also the Dfence system has no info avail on the web other than some bad reviews.

Essentially they have negated the Costco discount with these unwanted additions. I've asked them to not be installed and doesn't look like they will budge at the moment. They may see a sale walk away.

Guess we will see their next response.

Yep the are boning you. None of that is "standard" or if it is, it's already included in the price. By the time you get there they will probably try and tack on another 800 for window vin etching. Lol

Ha ha. Agreed to all. He said he is willing to explain it all once I'm there. Guess I will have to tell them no dice in person. I've purchased enough a cars to know how this works. They can carve those fees from some other "sucker!" I've even purchased a CPO before and they tried to re-charge for the VIN etching. Told me they did is again. Yeah...NO...that was removed.

Oh and they just told me I have to bring the car back every six months for clay bar and polymer treatment as part of the paint protect package....just shaking my head now.

The paint protection they are offering you is 100x better than the Kia installed paint protection that is ~$225. Obviously it's up to you if it's worth $800 or not, but it isn't just the dinky little strips that Kia applies.

The Dfense sounds like an invasion of privacy and I wouldn't buy a car with it, and the window tint is marked up around 300%.

At the end of the day though it sounds like an okay deal considering it's a limited edition color they will only be getting one of. How much of that $54,900 is tax?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

In AZ a clear bra film is 100x better than any paint sealant. With the film, paint stays brand new regardless of the rock chip assault on all the roads here. I'd rather apply the $800 towards a quality clear bra. Funny enough One Armor does this too so that's an option.

The Dfense GPS is bogus and that will prohibit sale to me if they won't remove it.

I'm fine paying for tint but not at that markup up!!

Tax is approx 8% so, including all their options, there is another $1500 in something baked in. Maybe doc/title fees and who knows what else. I'm trying to get an exact breakdown still.

Thanks for the info also
