EB54D5EB-0936-4A9E-8794-A167D494111E.webp I picked up my stinger last Sunday and so far been loving the car. I did notice something yesterday though with the roof glass. With it closed I can see there is a line about 1cm from the front of the glass to the back off centre that does not have as much tint to it. It shows up as a lighter strip along the whole length of the glass. Have any of you guys noticed any issues with you tint on your sunroof? I wonder if I should show this to the dealer. Since it’s the roof glass I only see it while looking straight up while it’s lighter outside. The strip probably has 50% less tint then the rest of the glass.

Thanks

@Adamdan take it to the dealer. Not sure how they will fix it but it doesn’t look like anything DIY.

Yep. If you decide it bugs you enough to replace it, then go that route. For me, a narrow band of slightly lighter tint, that I never see unless I look straight up, and does not show from the outside unless you know it is there, falls into the category of "nothing in this world has any business being perfect". There will always be flaws in our manufacturing. So it comes down to being bugged by something enough to hassle with it.

Yeah I have not decided if it bugs me enough to do anything about it. Its going to the dealer next week to fix a scratch on the inside and to look at a couple ding marks on the centre console that was there from new. They are going to have a look at the glass while it’s there. If it was something difficult like pulling headliner out I would not do it. But if it’s like any other Kia it’s a simple thing to remove the glass.

That would annoy me for sure

Maybe ... Time would need to pass, and then I'd know if it was something that has to go.

I’m taking my car in Tuesday to have them look at the roof.
