Am I missing something? How does one keep the sunroof closed but have the shade open?

Push the switch back only to the first detent , if you push it gently you will feel an initial resistance point which will only open the shade . Same with closing, you push close gently to the first resistance point it will close the glass bit not the shade.

Ok so you’re not missing your manual. That’s good cuz there’s a lot of good info in them. Are you really sure you’re missing something? Have you checked under the hatch for your jack, spare tire, maybe your tow hook is missing. It’s probably all there.

Oh, I forgot regarding your second question about the shade. Just push the sunroof button back one klick, about half way. Cheers

Thanks, I checked the manual (sorry could not resist).

For real though, I didn’t realize were 2 ‘clicks’ or positions. The softer/first for just the shade.

Speaking of manuals … Kia.ca doesn’t seem to have the 22 digital version up yet. Us lazy folk prefer the word search feature over an index.
