Sunglasses holder/oven

Leaving sunglasses in the overhead storage compartment is impossible as they get so hot that I literally fear burning the skin off my nose. Has anybody found a good solution to insulting this compartment? Does it just need venting?
I see two screw heads. Is that all that secures the compartment? Could add some insulation behind it.

Put them in the console instead...problem solved.

It's the same on my Sorento, super hot when I retrieve them.

I just wait 30 seconds before putting them on

Has happened in all my vehicles, I just take them out and put them inside the AC vent with the AC turned full blast and in a few seconds presto!

Yes, but that compartment isn't under the glass. Do you think glass makes a difference?

i also put my glasses in the center console, i only put my tacos in the holder. keeps it toasty

but in all seriousness, there isn't much in the way of headliner cushioning up there. i am sure you can pop that out and add something, but, being in florida, i have not found my glasses to be that hot when i get them out of the holder. and, i would think that a sunroof, even if it isn't under the glass, would cause more heat to build up in the space.

i also put my glasseView attachment 9301s in the center console, i only put my tacos in the holder. keeps it toasty
