Stuck in 1st Gear?

The other day I was doing a u-turn on a steep uphill grade (going uphill) and as the car pulled out of the u-turn (going downhill), it became stuck in 1st gear. It would not upshift. I had to stop the car, put it in park, and start again. Then it was fine. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Model: 2020 KIA Stinger GT.

Never heard of a Stinger getting stuck in any gear. Did you try the paddle shifters?

did you hit the paddle shifter while you were turning? You can take it out of manual mode by holding down the + shifter for a couple secs

I don't think I hit the paddle shifters. I never use them.

Geez. You have to push the clutch in before trying to shift to second.
