Suddenly my car is not outputting cold air on both the driver side and rear A/C vents. Passenger side is blowing cold still... any ideas? Kinda think its maybe the blend door malfunctioning. Is there a way to reset the system somehow? Has this happened to anyone else? Iv tried searching around and couldn't find any similar topics.

There was a moment last year where it seemed to be blowing hot air for a while but about half way home it fixed itself somehow.

A/C has been ice cold until today...

blend door, can try doing it with a scan tool... if its failed id would look how to access it.. you should be able to pull the dash in about 3-4 hours (whole top piece) using trim tools, 10mm and electric screwdriver

Stupid question from me--have you checked your dual zone climate controls, assuming you car has them?

Just to update took it to the dealership and it was low on freon. Only one side was getting cold because freon was evaporating half way through the evaporator. They couldn't find the leak though. My warranty is almost up they gave me 6 months or 70k miles to see if it comes back. I know it's a closed system but so far it's been cold for a week.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Update in case anyone else runs into the issue. Left side started to get warmer again and I was close to the 6 month mark so I brought it back to Kia to see if they can find the leak.

After having the car for 2 weeks they said that they noticed the air was not blowing as hard on the driver side so they closed the middle vents and it was blowing harder... Lol, cant make this up! I was getting kinda pissed at this point but kept my composure.

Told them the problem was not weak flow, it was that the air temperature on the driver side is warmer, which after doing some research can be an indication of low freon. Told them that if they cant find the leak in the more obvious places then they should tear down the dash and look at the evaporator core, should be able to find the leak since they put in the glowing freon last time I came in. They do this and low and behold there is the leak! They want to charge me $2800 to fix and I had to kindly remind them about them having a previous record of a leak before warranty expired and that I was within the 10k miles/6 month period from the last inspection. They apologize and said they will cover under warranty.

Moral of the story is that sometimes you gotta get on these guys to cover something. Similar thing happend with my jeep and getting a code on my transmission many times they just reset it and sent me on my way until my cars warranty was almost out. At that point I had an established history of the problem not getting fixed and I demanded an actual fix even if that meant a new transmission. They finally cave and get me a new transmission and all has been good with the jeep since.
