So I just had a friendly roll race vs a couple in their GT2. I also had a passenger so it was a pretty even matchup. Wish I got it on video but wasn’t expecting to see another Stinger, let alone race one!

I came up next to them and yelled “beautiful car”. They immediately noticed and gave a big thumbs up. I smiled, gave a thumbs up back and slowly started to pull away while I rolled onto the throttle at 20mph. I realized he floored it when they came back up quickly beside me so I did the same. I took a bumper lead by 40 and had half a car length by 60. I let off before the next light and they yelled “very nice, is that stock?” I said I had custom intakes and got another thumps up before we parted ways.

It was great to get real world confirmation that intakes actually made a noticeable difference. Best $100 I ever spent and can’t imagine what an extra 100tq+ from a chip would do. I think I may just have to go down the rabbit hole and start spending all my money!:D

Great story, not everyday we get to go head to head with another Stinger & good comparision for your intake mods. Trouble with these scenarios it makes the mod part of your brain go into overdrive...lol

What intakes do you have?

My own DIY semi-CAI system using high flow Spectre filters & thermal heat shielding. Read thread “DIY intakes w/heat shielding drop about 0.2sec off 0-60” for more info, but it’s similar to the K&N Typhoon or STILLEN CAI, but only cost me about $100 to make.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
