• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Just a warning for anyone who purchased at the now closed Galpin Kia and using Galpin for service. I purchased my Stinger from Galpin last August. I called them regarding service (I also had a free oil change) and they told me their Galpin Mazda dealership were handling all Kias now. However I would recommend you stay as far away as possible after my experience a few days ago. Dropped off at 1:30pm for its first service, after two hours I was told 5 more minutes, after another 30 minutes the service advisor asked my why i hadn't got my car yet and 30 minutes later he came back to tell me that another customer HAD TAKEN MY CAR!!! Some kid in his 20's who dropped off his old White Mazda 5 somehow did the paperwork, was handed my key, got to my car, drove to the exit, the security guard who scans the VIN and cross checks it opens the gate and off he goes. After several phone calls from the dealership, nearly two hours and 67 miles of joyriding he returns. At this point I'm obviously PISSED! Apparently he didnt notice the difference between an old white Mazda 5 and a 2018 Silver Stinger!!! I'm checking the car inside and out and next thing I see him drive away in his car, the service manager just let him go. He then had the balls to tell me "obviously we'll give you a full tank of gas to make things right".....WTF? Needless to say this isn't over. I've not heard great things about Glendale or Downtown but needless to say I won't be going back to Galpin.

That is not a mistake. Someone needs to lose their job.

That’s terrible mate I would be pissed. Let’s face it the little shit should never have even got in the car in the first place.

When he didn’t return immediately after the first phone call they should’ve rang the cops and reported it stolen, but then your Stinger may have ended up in one of those long televised pursuits with CHP or LAPD and that may have ended badly for the Stinger.

Someone needs to be sacked for that gigantic cluster f$&# and possibly more than 1 person at that dealership.

OMFG, I'm speechless, another Kia Stinger service horror story, and what, the service manager just let him go ? I'm honestly shitting myself even more since my one year service is coming up in a couple of weeks, the last service horror story was of brake fluid being spilt onto a front side panel, and that panel finally being resprayed at the dealerships expense, after they initially denied they caused it. I'm going to video my Stinger the morning before and record the odometer reading all on video, and then check my car thoroughly before paying for the service.

I'm pissed for you. Let us know how that shakes out.

Incredible. Call KIA USA customer service too and let them know.

WOW!!!

i would have called the police and reported it stolen. when the customer came back there would have been police officers waiting to cuff him.

Good on you for holding it together.. at least in the moment. Had been me, likely still be incarcerated!
