So since getting my 2023 Stinger last year, I would see them every now and then. Not too often.

But now that my Stinger is smashed up (got side swiped by a huge GMC pickup) and I am driving around with a frown on my face, every time I turn around I see another Stinger! I have never seen so many in a single week since mine got hit! Makes me feel even worse!

When did this violation occur? Did you post about it before?

Nope didn’t post it. Happen last weekend while parked in my development. Guy in the pickup was parking next to me, real rainy night, some animal ran in front of him and he hit the brakes and slid into me. He actually left a note. He has really good insurance and they are on top of it. Their inspector came and took pictures and are getting me rental once it goes into the shop, which I got to choose. Which are Kia certified.

Sounds like the best possible scenario in an accident. Decent person leaves contact information, etc. Minimal damage. Doesn't look like it reached your A pillar. Almost, from the pictures, looks like a paintless dent removal job. You won't be out of your Stinger for very long.

My neighbor has a matte silver Tribute. A pickup truck was caught on security camera backing into his LR door, literally, just the door, crushed in. And the pickup driver drove away and said nothing. But the camera busted him and he was forced to admit the hit and run. Total time from the hit to the repair was a month and a half. Like you, his car was drivable, but oh the pain of having to look at it meanwhile.

It will definitely need new paint and possibly a new fender and door. It was wet when when I took the pictures so doesn’t look as bad. His insurance appraiser came out and estimated around $4500 in damages. Just waiting for the insurance to setup the appointment with the body shop. Luckily a really good one near me and they are also Kia certified.
