Hey guys,

Leaving for work this morning i put my foot down to get ahead of some traffic and my car didn't respond. RPM's didnt climb i just casually and gradually increased speed. I have my JB4 in MAP1 with stock plugs, 93 gas, MBRP exhaust and BMS CAI.

Was driving in Sport mode and get on the interstate and punched it... same thing. No WOT. RPM's just slowly climbed and i had to downshift to get any type of acceleration.

I have no codes on the dash and the JB4 isn't picking anything up.

Caveat: Last friday I had my kids in the car and they wanted to go fast. I did maybe 4/5 WOT pulls up the street to around 60mph. Any reason me goofing off blew something?

Gonna go home and disconnect the battery later after work to see if that resets things but any help or experience is appreciated!

does it reset after you restart the car? I've had this happen when I run too much ethanol (it seems)

Will have to check after work

limp mode strikes again. you have a '22 or '23 3.3L am I right? you left work and hit it. so many anecdotes of this in the later Stingers when they aren't at fully operational temperature.

Yup, '22. Started up, was leaving my neighborhood and gunned it to get in front of some farm equipment and big truck. Car just didnt react when i floored it. Then merging onto the interstate, gunned it and it didnt care, rpm's just slowly went up. So i downshifted and gave it some beans.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
sounds like classic over boost. the new valved exhaust added with the refresh in '22 is probably doing it. You were in sport mode which brings limp mode on easier. this is what I get from reading all these accounts of the later Stingers being prone to limp mode when not warmed up enough. You can't hurt anything. the car is protecting itself. turn it off and back on and limp mode goes away. even if you warm it up all the way, if it's gone into limp mode it will stay in it until you turn it off.

Awesome, thanks for jumping in to help. I didn't think i hurt anything as I got no codes or lights popping up. Nothing under the hood was unplugged, ruptured, etc. Do you advise pulling the battery, just in case? I leave work at 4pm today so I'll just have to see if it resets itself before I can get home to my tools/garage.

Damn i have the same limp mode issue on my 23 gt2 with the borla active catback. I was going nuts figuring out what was causing it.

Luckily i still have my non valved borla catback but that really sucks having spent 2k to not be able go wot even if its been warmed up for long time. I wonder if there is anything we can do to make it not go limp mode. Bummer as I really like the valved system.
