Stinger V6 3.3 needs more noise

hey everyone

I have a 2021 facelift stinger (V6 3.3 RWD) love the car but lacks in noise. I need something that will give the car a sportier tone. I don't want anything too loud or anything that will give me drone on a motorway drive.

what exhaust is everyone running ?
will a downpipe be enough ?
will just a muffler delete be enough ?

I do plan to tune the car at one point so maybe just a downpipe will be efficient ?

Iv got the Jun BL EVC cat back and I just got the Injen Intakes with Velossa Tech LED snorkels. The car is fairly loud now and has a significant sports car gurgle and pop to it I absolutely love it and never close the valves unless a cop gets to close. Once I heard the exhaust and intake noise that this car makes I immediately ordered a set of Ark midpipes thanks Christmas sale, custom intercooler and charge pipe, HKS plugs, mishimoto catch can and jb4 with fuel wires and everything can’t wait.

I will say that I have a Carbon fiber hood with real vents making my intake noise that much louder so idk how much ur hood would muffle the sound

I have a 22 and the sound sucks, only thing I don't like about the car.
I still can't find anything for a 22?
not sure what they even changed from the 21's

This is exactly why it's not too loud stock. The car is a GT, so one can assume it's "power when you need it", not "racecar all the time". It's also a 6 cylinder, that will always be something of an inherent limitation to the grunt in the growl.

If you want it louder, it will get drone-y. Can't have it both ways.

IMHO, get a loud exhaust if you're going to spend the time and money to do it. As soon as you go any louder/more performance oriented, it's going to drone. So embrace the drone (sink more money into a louder sound system to drown out the drone?) or move on.

I would suggest either going with the Jun Bl EVC Catback Exhaust (Click HERE) or the Ultimate Performance Downpipe Combo Kit (Click HERE). You will need a tune with the downpipes so that is something to keep in mind but they also will put down significantly more power than a catback.

I have MBRP and Jun BL downpipes and have absolutely no drone whatsoever. Perfect growl IMO. On a scale of 1-10, it’s around 8 in loudness on acceleration and decreases to 5/6 during cruise. Good enough for me. I might be the only one but I have no interest in a tune as it’s my daily driver.

I've also got the MBRP, I guess it depends on what someone considers drone, but my car doesn't make much noise unless I'm on it, just cruising I don't hear anything obnoxious. Absolutely love the noise. I've also got Injen intakes which helps with turbo noise.

This video comparison of a bunch of the different exhausts available helped me a lot.

Borla with ARK Downpipes is my jam. Just make sure you get tips of some kind cause it’s loud inside the cabin if not.

MBRP catback has 0 drone. Awesome system!! I am very happy with it. I also did DC Sports Midpipes Turbos are loud! Exhaust is only loud when you hammer the pedal. I am very pleased.
