My guess, dude left the car running with the key in his pocket, so the thieves will have a great deal of difficulty when they shut off the car, or it runs out of gas!
Nope, he left the fob in it. You could see the brake light come when the thief stole it.
If he had it in his pocket it would not have started.
It also says it in the title.

The guy was taking his sweet time at the pump with his card, and when his car drove away, he didn't react the way you would think.
Also, who was filming this?
I'm thinking it was all staged.
I never park that far ahead of the pumps.....my gas cap is right beside the pump. And I never leave my fob in the car....unless its in my garage while I change the oil.

I do sometimes leave my car running while refueling (mainly in the winter), and occasionally I'll leave the radio on (with good reason), but never leave my keys in the car!
Has anyone figured out how to lock the car while it's running yet? I understand the protection against locking the keys inside, but I can't believe there's no way to lock it from outside while it's running...

I have the built-in remote start, which requires locking it to activate, but will only run for the initial 5 minutes then shut off. I'm talking about the ability to drive somewhere, park with the car still running, and lock it while you run in somewhere, which every car with a keyless push button start I've ever been in had the ability to do.
Very useful for road trip pit stops with a dog when it's hot out, for example.
Feels bad man. Dude lived his entire life up to that point in complete ignorant bliss. I don't know if I should envy him or pity him. Looking at his car drive away like "boy are they gonna feel silly when they realize that's not their car LOL".
