Given AWD with rear bias, fully independent suspension, 50/50 weigh distribution, torquey V6 would love to see Stinger rally car. Slightly taller stance, beefy rally tires, light bars.

While it has the right setup I don't think it will make a good rally car, the sheer size of it will make really hard to maneuver and it will also require major suspension work to cope with its size and the quick weight shifts.

Too long and heavy. Original Quattro revolutionized the sport, but since then they've gotten much shorter - for good reason.

A G70-based version might work better but honestly you'd really need a bespoke tube chassis with a composite body shell.

Of course, I'm only thinking about WRC-class. If you go look at touring car racing, well, NOW you'd be talking, because the cars are closer to what you can purchase.

Totally agree, rally cars are really “stumpy” these days, the Stinger would not get a gig as a rally car it’s too big, I’d rather see it in our Supercars Series here in OZ, perfect fit for this category.

I think "stumpy" is a bit harsh, lol!!!!

They have short wheelbases because that makes them infinitely more agile than the older, more stable designs!

More like older style Paris to Dakar cars. Or Targa Tasmania. After all WRC cars are not anything like actual street cars they “represent”.

Agreed! Could see nicely tuned AWD GT with suspension, bigger tires and wheels being a ton of fun. Probably would do better than big v8 muscle cars.
