Looking for a Stinger GT2. Found 2 and looking for feedback.

1) 2023 GT2 with GT2 Grand Tourer Special Edition Package. 21k miles. Clean Carfax. 39k. Kia Certified.
Red/Black

2) 2023 GT2 AWD. 12k. 43k. Clean CarFax. Silver/Red

Help!

I don't know if all the Grand Tourers are AWD, but that would be my first question. On a tune-happy turbo car like this, that will really help you put down the power, especially from a standstill.

If you don't care about that and never plan to mod it, I guess there's the higher collectability factor for the special edition, but I honestly don't see the Stinger having a wild cult following so I probably wouldn't put much stock in that.

Same year, similar mileage, similar price...if there's no real difference in condition, go with the color combo you like most.

I say grand tourer. I have a ceramic silver grand tourer, so I am a bit biased. Also, CPO is a bonus.

Thanks for the help... No mods planned. Moving from a 2019 Corvette (that spends more time at the dealership than my home) to the Stinger. Figured I'd still have a fast car, but better quality.

The prices of the Stingers are dropping like a crazy. Does make me wonder on any resale value in the future. Unlike my Corvette.

Well..... I just found out that a Kia Stinger is almost double the cost as my Corvette. I have a clean driving record too. My Corvette is $983 a year. A Stinger would be $1850. Over $150 a month for insurance. And thats with a $1000 deductable!!!!!

It might be just due to Kia thefs. Back to looking at a Lexus 350 RC f Sport.

Thanks and enjoy your Stingers!!!!!!!

No Stingers have been stolen or somebody on here would have noticed. That insurance is nuts, especially with your age bracket and record. What the heck is up with that? Have you shopped around? My Stingers are c. a thousand per year, each. State Farm.

MY BAD.... Miss understading with my agent. I live in NC, and it has one of the lowest cost for auto insurance in the country. The difference would be $479.46 a year more than my Corvette or almost $950.00 a year.

My Corvette cost me less than $500.00 a year. Can't believe a Kia would cost that much more.

My wife wants a 2024 Kia Sorento (new body style.) I've also asked my insurance company for a quote for it. She did tell me Kia's cost are up across the board. So a Kia suv may be off my list. I wanted a Lexus SUV anyway.....

Enjoy your Stinger!!!!!

OK...... After talking with my insurance agent... It seems ANY new car I get is going to cost me more money. So..... Going to look at the GT2 Grand Tourer Special Edition today.

FYI...might be time to shop for different insurance companies. Our previous one tried to jack the rates through the roof on my wife's electric pony, and through the stratosphere for my stinger. They even included a form letter "from the CEO" about how inflation was affecting us all and they had to increase rates.

Found another provider which I went through years ago at less than half the cost. Told the old one, in more polite terms, to violate themselves on an open fire hydrant, and do it at noon on a Sunday in front of a church where they are sure to draw a crowd.

That being said, good luck getting a stinger, I hope a good one falls into your lap!

Last Update..... Did finally get to look at and drive a Stinger GT2. Sweet drive!! But I'm guessing the only reason for 4 door and a back seat was to keep insurance a little lower. I'm tall and my 4'10 wife could not even get in the back seat. Less space than an airline seat. Zero leg room.

I don't use the back seat frequently, but when guest are in town, I need a car with 4 seats.

With that said... I've taken the Stinger off my list for now. When I sell my Corvette, I may look again.

Thanks to everone that responded... Much appreciated!

:ninja:Yeah....your guests will love rs 350 back seats

Were the fronts shoved all the way back? The Stinger is not a small car, and I've done group road trips of 900+ miles spending hours in back without a problem, and I've got a foot on your wife.
