Hello Folks, my GT2 windshield chipped from a rock from a boulder truck on the highway. The insurance offered me to get it fixed for free which looks fine from the outside but from the inside of the car the crack is still visible.

I have a deductible of $500 and the insurance company to get it replaced with OEM windshield. Should I go ahead and get it done? Any idea of how much the OEM windshield costs?
Also any experience with windshield replacements on your exiting cars.

Any inputs will be appreciated.
Thanks

Based on the recent windshield replacement on my wife's Subaru w/Eyesight, in addition to the cost of the windshield replacement you will also have to have the cameras/sensors recalibrated by a Kia dealer. My insurance company included that cost under the windshield replacement coverage.

Enjoy,

If you have lane departure and HUD which I’m sure you do I was quoted for around $2000 for OEM. Well worth it to go through your insurance. I actually have a GT1 and was told that OEM windshields for that one is on about 6 week backorder.
