Looking at 2019 Stinger GT2 Ceramic Silver/Black - FULLY OPTIONED
Price $54,850
Dealer discount $5,436
Lease Rebate $10,100
Adjusted Price $39,314
Doc Fee $699
GA AVT $1,441
Non-Tax Fees $715

Balance $42,170

Lease 36 months $551

The car has been sitting on the lot for 11 months

is this a decent deal?

How exactly would the Lease Buy-out work on this vehicle?
What would be my Buyout Price

Would it be better to go with 24 month lease since Lease rebate would be $12,100 and then buy out immediately

Any money down would be wasted, right?

Thanks for your help on this matter

Lots of things to consider, and a lot of it depends on where you live (GA). But first, one thing for sure, if you want to do a lease and buy it out immediately, do the 2 year to maximize the incentive. Money down is not really "wasted" but it serves no purpose when planning to buyout. The lease option is going to typically add $650 acq fee and $300 termination fee at buyout, so you need to add those costs into the equation. The discount the dealer is offering seems reasonable (some have done better, and surely some worse). The GA TAVT is based on 7% of only the scheduled lease payments; however, what is not clear is how GA would tax the buyout.... On the residual? The actual buyout amount? The full market value? Many states don't provide clear examples of how the purchased vehicle will be taxed. Another issue is whether GA requires that buyout be executed by in-state dealership ( you will likely be charged additional processing fees) or whether it can be done online with Kia Motor Finance (much easier and no fees other than the $300 mentioned earlier). It is difficult to zero in on an accurate buyout price until all the above are known. That said, the lease buyout strategy will still almost certainly be the least expensive route by a goodxamount as long as you navigate the process wisely. Maybe someone from GA can chime in with details on the tax and whether buyout can be executed directly through Kia.

^^^What Rob said.... I think you should be able to get better discount. I just got the same discount on the $42590 Premium, so I’m sure there’s more meat on the bone of a loaded GT2.
