Stinger GT??

They are aware of their "investment", and probably are trying to keep it that way.

No doubt. But potential buyers, that have looked at Corvettes, Porsches, Audis, AMGs and found them out of their league financially, suddenly look at the Stinger. They may not be aware of the potential for this car to become a classic and may not be treating it with the necessary respect .
I believe, that it may be one of the best build (overbuilt?!) KIA cars to date. This car may be considered some sort of flag bearer: It could advance the brand or be a big embarassment. And I don't think KIA is shooting for the latter.
Isn't it a bit wishful to declare that the Stinger may be a car of legendary build, when we haven't really driven or experienced the car? From what I've seen the interior quality is just average or even subpar when examined closely. Probably more realistic would be to think that the Stinger may be better in long term ownership and reliability than a BMW, basing upon what is being reported about Kia's reliability scores.

Yes, Kia may not be driving toward an embarassment, but one can't be blamed for expecting some basic competence in introducing what is claimed to be an epochal marque.

Also, people may not be aware of the Stinger's (as yet unproven) heroic status, but perhaps we should also not hasten to become acolytes before seeing the deity - just sayin'.
