Had a chance to take the stinger out for a track day with NASA. Ran it in group 3 and had a blast. Had the great fortune to experience dry, damp and pouring rain during our sessions and was very impressed with the car. Zero brake fade, overheating or mechanical issues and I pushed the car very hard thuought the weekend. I did quite a bit of prep work on the car but I think it would get around the track fine stock provided you change out our brake fluid to a high heat fluid. If you want a turn key setup that will most definitely work and have you running over M3s and Porsche products here is what I did:

-Eibach Prokit
- Front Camber -1.2
- Rear Camber -2.0
- Front 19x8.5 +35 245/35/19 R888R 40psi
- Rear 19x10 +42 245/35/19 R888R 40psi
-Stoptech STR-660 Brake Fluid.IMG_20180317_105006.webp

Sorry guys no in car this time around but we will be back out in May and will definitely get some video

Is there a benefit to increasing the wheel width but decreasing the tire width in the rear?

That had more to do with what Toyo had available tire wise that would work. Getting more rubber on the road is a good thing, in this case we had to "stretch" the tire a bit to fit the 10" wheel. The next size up (think it was a 265) would have messed with the ABS and potentially rubbed. Looking at the wear patterns on the tire there was no negitive effect caused by running the 245/35 on a 10" wheel.

Rears wearing just above the indicators, exactly what I would expect for a cold weekend at Sonoma.IMG_20180319_105028.webp

Thanks for the explanation I figured it was likely a working with what you had issue.

As for a 265 messing with ABS do you think moving up 10mm in the rear and 20mm in the front would make enough of a difference to impact ABS or does it have more to do with tire compound? I don’t feel like that’s a very aggressive increase in size.

I'm not extremely well versed in that stuff, that was based purely on the vendors recommendation.

No worries. I’ve got experience in increasing tire sizes and fully swapping brakes for street use but haven’t done any hard track runs to know all the details of how changes like that can impact the car when it’s being pushed 10/10.

I wonder what those porsches and BMWs were thinking when you were running over them ;)

For the most part everyone was just happy to see it out there :)

Is the camber adjustable on the stinger?
